Google Officially Enters the Energy Market



It's been speculated for months; now, it's official: Google IS in the energy business. Their first endeavor: an $39 million investment in NextEra Energy Resources' wind energy project in North Dakota. Google's explanation for entering the market:

"Google's entrance into the renewable energy market isn't a power play. It's just part of the company's attempt to achieve carbon neutrality while helping out green energy providers".
